150,000 people. 3 days. One massive party.
Ultra Europe Split 2026 returns to the Poljud Stadium for what promises to be the biggest edition yet — drawing over 150,000 music fans to the city across a full week of events both in and outside the main venue. If you are coming to Split in July, you are either here for Ultra Europe, or you are wondering why there are 100,000 people in neon tank tops walking around.
Ultra Europe is one of the biggest EDM festivals in the world. For three days, the city of Split completely transforms. Prices triple, sleep becomes optional, and the energy is insane.
But if you come unprepared, it can be a logistical nightmare. Here is everything you need to know to survive Ultra 2026 without going broke or getting stranded.

1. The Basics: Dates & Venue
- Dates: July 10 – July 12, 2026 (Friday to Sunday).
- The Venue:Park Mladeži (Youth Park).
- Note: Old guides might say “Poljud Stadium.” This is outdated! The festival moved to Park Mladeži in 2019. It is slightly closer to the city center, but it is a flat open field, not a stadium.
2. Tickets: The “Regional” Trap
You can buy tickets on the official website. Prices usually start around €180 for Early Bird and go up to €229+ for General Admission as the date gets closer.
CRITICAL WARNING:
If you see cheap tickets advertised as “Regional Tickets” (Ex-Yu), do not buy them unless you have a Croatian, Serbian, or Bosnian passport. They check IDs at the gate. If you have a UK/USA/German passport with a “Regional” ticket, they will not let you in and you will have to buy a new full-price ticket on the spot.
3. Where to Sleep (The “Zone” Strategy)
Accommodation prices during Ultra week are astronomical. A €50 apartment becomes €300.
- Zone 1: Old Town / Center (Expensive)
- Pros: You can walk to the festival (20 mins).
- Cons: Very loud, very expensive.
- Zone 2: Spinut & Skalice (The Sweet Spot)
- Pros: These neighborhoods are right next to the stadium. You can walk home in 5 minutes.
- Cons: Booked out months in advance.
- Zone 3: Podstrana or Kaštela (The Budget Trap)
- Pros: Cheaper villas with pools.
- Cons: You are 15km away. The traffic jam to get into Split at 6:00 PM is brutal, and Ubers back home at 5:00 AM can cost €100+.
4. Transport: Uber vs. Walking
- Uber/Bolt: They work, but expect Surge Pricing. A €5 ride can jump to €40 when the festival ends at 5:00 AM.
- The “Ultra Train”: There is often a special train running from Split to Kaštela/Trogir all night. It’s cheap and safe.
- Walking: This is your best bet. From the Old Town to Park Mladeži is a 20-minute walk. Follow the crowd. It is safe, well-lit, and there are police everywhere.
5. Money: The Cashless Wristband
Ultra is 100% cashless.
- How it works: You load money onto your festival wristband at “Top Up” stations inside.
- The Tip: Top up online before you arrive to skip the massive queues on Day 1.
- Refunds: If you have money left over, you must claim a refund online within 48 hours after the festival ends. If you forget, they keep your money.
6. Safety & The “Walk of Shame”
- Hydration: It is July. It is hot. You are dancing. You can buy water inside, but it’s expensive. Drink plenty before you go in.
- Pickpockets: Professional gangs fly in for festivals. Do not keep your phone in your back pocket. Use a fanny pack (bum bag) across your chest.
- The Walk of Shame: At 6:00 AM, thousands of people walk from the stadium back to the Old Town/Ferry Port. It’s actually a fun community vibe. Grab a burek from a bakery (they open early) and watch the sunrise on the Riva.
7. Destination Ultra (The After Party)
The party doesn’t stop on Sunday.
- Regatta Party (Brač): Monday, July 13th.
- Ultra Beach (Hvar): Tuesday, July 14th.
- Resistance Closing (Vis): Wednesday, July 15th.
- Advice: These require separate tickets and ferry transfers. Plan this in advance—ferries to Hvar sell out weeks ahead!
